| Description: | In this session, we will discuss reading and writing poems as a way of engaging the world and oneself that resists the modern imperative to hurry or to hustle. Making room for meditation, stillness, and noticing can allow us to discover deeper layers of ourselves and others. Poetry can also help us become more sensitive to the way language can nurture or harm our imaginations and how we build identities within a broader culture. |
